We interrupt your regular programming for this important announcement
So to close out this inauguration season I have one more bit of change. Dr. Allen and I had a lengthy discussion last night on generational shifts from the 1920 through today or yesterday. One aspect of that discussion that stuck with me and also has influenced what I’m about to show you is this: the start of the end of the rule of the Baby Boomers. Gen X they put between 1961-and 1981 some have said 1965. Either way with the election of a person outside of the baby-boom generation a changing of the guard is coming. I dont make this a good thing or a bad thing. I dont make a is this the end of Christendom or not?” statement. I won’t make huge statements of “too may people like him… he’s too popular” Or ” He will change how politics is done” I’ve kinda had enough of that facebook status to fill me up for a life time. I spent the morning in my office watching the inauguration which I now believe was a good choice. Uninterrupted. Dont tell anyone but I think I may be a limp left, baby killing, gay loving, take people’s money never worked a day in his life, government loving, capitalist hating , not even born here, handout, agitator liberal…Not so fast. It would surprise you who Ive voted for over the years. Its a funny thing when the sand starts shifting. Ive started a phrase for a video I’m working on. “Know me not my Label” So know me. Now to something that Ive never done. I am posting and linking the new Whitehouse.gov. I do this to show an example of part of that shift. I’ll tell you one thing that I think is better. You can see the before and after here. And now commence to poking holes in that statement.
We now return you to our regular scheduled program.
Drew is still on Water January.

is glad we have a president today…lived in Florida the year of the hanging chads.
finds it funny that that McCain spent 300 million on the campaign Obama spent 600 million. For a job that pays 400k. And we wonder why the economy is like it is.

edit:
We were too depressed to leave the house tonight. We watched non-news television instead. Scare Tactics to be exact. But let’s have an unpolitical hang-out soon.
is really happy that we can change anything in this country that isn’t working.
is just wondering, now that there is a black president, we can finally get rid of affirmative action right? Also, now Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton can stop?
went to the gas station this morning and still had to pay…now I have to work so more people can benefit from my paycheck
is worried about the election today. I still can’t believe people are actually going to vote for Obama. God help us.
Let me explain to you
So right now I’m sitting in a class working on a paper for a different class while the entire class is eating the food you see below. Yes folks today for class we are watching a stream of the election while eating junk food. I dont think Im protesting I just dont want to eat. So I will contiue working on this paper I only have to get one page done tonight. So here is the wrap up of my day. Went to vote…went to work..got in a fight…well sort of…hired a dude…went to class….doing nothing. Oh so I also found this website today. Hey I have been twittering a lot latley. Thanks Lee for pointing that out. Any way there you go.
Sunday
So Im starting to get the house in order for me to be in and out this summer. Mowed the lawn down made sure all laundry was done and cleaned out the fridge of things that I didnt know what they were. So that is complete. Im now sitting on a couch just waiting for monday to come. I asked a friend last night if it easier for people to get together now than our parents time or harder. Here is what I find interesting. Thee are a lot of nice people out there. The law of attraction is a strange thing. While nice attraction is difficult thing to have. I wonder what the things are that attract you to people. Is it a smell, a look, eyes, hands, laugh, personality. What are the things that attract you to other people. I’m attracted to playful people. Make your own definition of that. So on with the night. I’m about to watch this film called recount. Its about the 2000 elections. I’m going to concentrate on that now.
Big give
8:15 so I’m watching the big give. Its a show done by oprah. They have like 5 days to come up with an idea to raise a bunch of money for people. They got some people to judge yes I said judge on how they gave or came up with an idea to give or for people to give to them. The basic thing is we get to watch people fight with each other then cry at the end about the good work they did.
1. Iraq vet
2. Husband that died.
3. Doctor from project that owes 200,000.00 dollars
4. handicapped kids
5. Mom that is living on the street.
i haven’t made any judgments yet

8:39
“it was good to feel that I was not invisible” “Just train me and I can get a job”
the mom got a home and a car and help
the wife got a party with the neighborhood
Looks like these two were the best. They had some others but it was more about he fighting than anything else. You ever feel like you can do more and be more. I sit in a room every weekend where guys say that. you can be more and do more. Maybe its taken me this long to be convinced. Man there is so much going on out there. Gaza on fire, Kenya tourist spot of Africa just calming down, Russia turning back the clock, an election in the states. I dont know really where to start. There are many things that I dont understand. I dont understand why people make laugh harder than it is. Not to make it easy just not as hard.
8:53
Fashion show was a bit of a flop. Who plans a fashion show in a week. Jamie fox gave something. How does a billionaire do a show where people have to raise money. How about this idea. How do you get rich people to give more money. Now that should be the challenge. Oh and not use it to avoid taxes.
8:57
Time is a little off im dvr’n so this aint so right. How about the one that I think gave the most went to church. “Oh just saw sponsorship United airways is loving this” So they sent one person home. All those things will go away but I guess they will feel good for a little bit. What if the prise was nothing.
Ok so the show is over. I still dont know how I feel about it. I guess it will do some good work and hopefully change the way people view giving. Life seems so wasted when you just kinda live for you and your own. There has to be more right. More than just being, right…right. I think we should all do a big give. Come on world lets give.
Moving on to Newlyweds. back to the world.
South Africa
Miracles happen
Oprah Winfrey opens her academy for disadvantage girls in January 2007 and has interviewed many thousands of girls from the Gauteng region. The Blair Athol School on the Refilwe property submitted several girls for consideration. The final selection was made in Mid- August.
This is Johannes’s story: Johannes lives in a shack in a squatter camp near Refilwe. He has a gardening job. He attends the Refilwe clinic every 2 weeks for TB medication and check ups. He has been very worried because his common law wife drinks, then becomes irresponsible. He was also looking for a school, he can afford, to send his daughter to next year. He also suspects that he has more serious health concerns. He arrived at the clinic in Mid-August with life changing news. His daughter has been selected to attend the Oprah Academy next year. On the Saturday, a grand car had picked them up at their shack, while in transit they could drink cold drinks and watch TV. At the selected venue, they had up market accommodation, organised entertainment and excellent food, “as good as Parliament”! The final interviews were conducted by Oprah and joys of joys, his daughter was selected. On Monday they were transported to Refilwe with more rejoicing, when the school heard the news. Johannes has agreed to additional treatment. We were able to counsel his wife and she has agreed to be visited at home by Elizabeth our gospel outreach worker.
Please pray for this family.
