Short update

This update will be done by list.

1. Had a great meeting with my Pastor today. Never done that. Going to do that a couple more times. It was really good to talk with him. Pastoral care seems to be a real thing.

2. I am going back to school. Only two more classes and a paper and I’m done. I could have done this last year. Weird to think that. That’s something.

3. Vacation starts officially on Monday. I’ve been there for the past two weeks. I will be hitting the reset button.

4. I’m getting a roommate.

5. My dad asked me to visit him some time this fall. I have to make that happen.

6. No car yet. My pastor said something that has been ripping at me. He asked whether me having a hard time with of buying a car can be equated with some of my indecision life direction. Hmmm.

7. I started removing facebook friends to much on my page and too many political statements for me. You have the freedom but sometimes I really just care about the new dress you just bought.

8. Oh my vacation will take me to Austin and then on to Seattle.

9. I will be building a flagstone porch. Time to call Andy.

really thinking about this

you saw the shirt and chuckled a little bit. I am really contemplated this. Many of you know the legend that is me when it comes to grammar spelling etc. In Elementary school I was given a commodore 64 and before that I had one of those word processors. I learned how to type by 8th grade and forgot one thing. How to do the simplest things like the English language. Anyway I have embraced it. It still frustrates me when I try to but sentences together and don’t get it. Guess what I was an elementary school teacher. Makes you nervous right. I’m that teacher they are talking about that they are trying to get out of the class room. Ok back to the point. I have been thinking of what I could do to help the world hunger initiative and compassion in a monetary way. Yes I will always pump sponsorship but I was looking to do something else. Well this is it. I am thinking about a line of these shirts and any profit goes to that cause. Strange I know but I was talking with Andy about it today and more and more I’d like to give it a go. I had said I wanted a little project and what better way to experiment than to do this. If it doesn’t work I thought I could just give them away. I’m going to think about that tonight instead of editing those dang pictures. I’m still at the office and I need to get home. So I guess this is good by. I’ll post a couple for you to look at. This could be real lame or have something to it. Look for some here tonight.

Hey and if you need a desk top photo of me just let me know more people should put my head on their desktop. Peace

Last class

I know many of you have had to endure as I complained about going to class and etc. Well Tomorrow is the last class and I’m ready for it to be over. I took last friday off so that I could write a final paper that is due thursday. A buddy of mine Andy (sorry andy until update I can’t link you) is editing it for me. Its good to have friends like that. Since Tv has started to bore me I have taken to watching netflix movies on instant watch. Mostly documentaries. Real good times. In fact in just a few minutes I will retire to my bed to take in a good time at the movies.

I’ve approached Taylor to see if he would be intersted in working on a project with me this year. Something to do in the off time. I told him not to humor me in it if he wasn’t interested. We will see how that goes. I think he’ll be honest with me. What else. On a side note something else I would like to work on this year. I bought the url changed by one the other day for this reason. I know that many of my friends and friends of friends sponsor kids with World Vision or Compassion or by some smaller outfit well I’d like to tell those stories. What I would like to do is create a place where we can tell those stories you know. Even if it’s not sponsorship. I think many of us have changed the life of one person or have been changed by one person. There is something about the power of one on one interactions. We’ll see how that goes. I guess I would need to set that up soon. Last class and a new day. Maybe I should study? Naw Signing off. oh and here is your monday moment of zen.

Turning the Page

I promised Andy that I wouldn’t make everything I write here some type of long platitude about life so for the next few moments I will tell you things about myself that will make you feel better about yourself.

1. The only dance ive ever been to was my 3rd grade end of the year party. It was a sock hop and all i remember is steping on some ice in my socks and feeling gross.

2. Made myself sick holding in gas during youth group parties at peoples’ homes.

3. Once bit into an egg salad sandwich that had a long hair in it was to embarassed so I just ate it.

4. Once sat in a tub of cold water and ice to stop from sweating in middle school.

5. I catch my self checking myself out in the mirror sometimes then get creeped out.

6. This is me.

Sitting

So I’m in the worshiping waiting for Jeremy Riddle’s band to get here or I guess not waiting because i ont really do anything with them so I’m really just sitting here. I wrote what I think was an interesting email to my boss just kinda outlining some hopes for the upcoming years. I’m moving on 12 or 13 years now. I continue to hope that I am an asset and not a hindrance to the place i work. I guess they will tell me when I am. I’ll get a pick slip or maybe a hardy pack on the back.

Watching Jason walk around the stage move lights. Lonnie is touching up spots on the stage. Nick is playing video through the system. Matt is sliding faders up and down. Andy will start playing videos on the back wall. Ross is moving cymbals an drums around. Jared is well doing what ever he dose now, Shorty is digging in and out of a tool box complaining about the weight. Ben is playing aroudn with something on a computer cant really see what he’s doing. Me, I’m just sitting here about to start a devo that student life oh sorry life bible study did.

NEW DAYS

I have decided to move here not just because of Randy but I needed something that was easier to work with and less busy. I’ve gotten to a crossroads of sort. At the end of failed relationship. At the start of something new. So I bought a camera and now I think I’m the photographer. I’m going to start a small series. Sunday mornings. For the next couple of weeks I’m going to visit some churches as they let out. I’ll try and post them as I go but it will take a couple of weeks if not months to complete. I’ll start this Sunday and I guess see where that will take me. For now here is a link to another slide show. I’ve got to get over these. I am torn between which I like better the flikr or the slide show. I could embed this but it would just keep scrolling so I’ll give you the choice.
